Is the Eca cable suitable where BS 6701 fire-performance requirements apply?

British Cables Company states that BS 6701:2016+A1:2017 requires a minimum CPR classification of Cca-s1b,d2,a2 for telecommunications cabling within the external fire barrier of a building. The Eca products do not meet that stated minimum classification.

Where BS 6701 is the governing requirement, select cable that satisfies the required CPR class. For any project with a specific fire strategy or specification, the designer or responsible installer should confirm the required classification before the cable is installed.
