Is this a proper Cat6 cable or just an RJ45 lead sold as Cat6?

Yes. These leads use Cat6 U/UTP, 24AWG stranded bare-copper cable rated to 250MHz with moulded RJ45 plugs.

The standard range also has third-party verification recorded in the catalogue; the external versions use the same basic electrical construction with a PE outer jacket.
