What sort of connection is this Cat6 lead intended for?

It is a standard RJ45 Ethernet patch lead for flexible equipment connections: switch to patch panel, wall outlet to device, router to switch, or directly between ordinary Ethernet equipment.

It is the movable cord at the ends of a cabling channel rather than the fixed cable normally installed through a building.
