Can I run this copper lead between two separate buildings?

It can carry Ethernet, but building-to-building copper has a different collection of hazards from a cable clipped around one building: lightning-induced surges and differences in electrical potential can become part of the story.

Fibre is often the preferable inter-building link because it does not provide a conductive path between the buildings.
