Can one person assemble a flat-packed cabinet, or is it a two-person job?

One competent person can assemble the smaller cabinets, but a second pair of hands becomes increasingly useful as the cabinet gets larger.

The individual parts aren’t especially mysterious; the awkward part is persuading several large pieces of sheet steel to remain exactly where you want them while also locating the fixings and keeping the frame square.

It’s quite possible to reach a point where two hands are holding three panels together and the screw you need is sitting 600mm away.

For larger cabinets, or if the lifting and handling would be uncomfortable, two people are the more sensible choice.
