Do all of the device feet need to be supported by the shelf?

I would make sure the device is supported in the way its case and feet are designed to carry its weight.

Rear overhang is acceptable in itself, but a device whose rear feet are floating beyond the platform may not be stably supported.

Check the actual base and foot positions rather than judging only from the outer case dimensions.
