What should I do if my switch takes in or exhausts air through its sides?

Maintain adequate clearance around the switch's side ventilation openings.

Do not obstruct them with cable bundles, cabinet structures or adjacent equipment, and follow any clearance requirements specified by the switch manufacturer.

When several active devices are installed together, their airflow requirements should be considered as a complete arrangement.
