Which cable should I choose for an indoor run and which for an outdoor run?

Use one of the LSZH products for an indoor installation where its CPR classification is appropriate to the project. Use the black PE-sheathed products where the cable needs the outdoor-rated construction shown in this range.

Do not choose purely by Cat5e versus Cat6. The transmission category answers one question; the sheath, fire classification and installation environment answer several others.
