Will the Cat5e patch panel handle Gigabit Ethernet?

Yes. Cat5e is suitable for 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet when the complete channel is correctly installed.

The 100MHz figure on the panel is a cabling-frequency rating, not a 100Mbps speed limit — two similar-looking numbers that have caused plenty of unnecessary confusion.
