Delivery information

Clear guidance on delivery charges, estimated timescales and receiving your network-infrastructure order.

At a glance

  • Delivery charges: the options and prices available depend on the destination, products and available carrier service. Free delivery is offered only where the order and address qualify.
  • Remote and offshore addresses: some destinations incur an additional charge or require a delivery quotation. A qualifying basket value does not guarantee free delivery to every postcode.
  • Before ordering: use the basket or checkout postcode estimator. Where a quotation is required, we will confirm the proposed service and total charge before you decide whether to order.
  • Delivery times: next-working-day and express delivery are not available to all postcodes or products.

Delivery charges and eligibility

The basket and checkout calculate available delivery methods using the destination and the goods being ordered. Where a delivery method is available at checkout, its applicable charge is displayed before you place an order.

Standard and free delivery offers apply only to eligible products, consignments, addresses and services. Any minimum-spend threshold or flat delivery charge is the one shown for the relevant order; these amounts may change for future orders. A basket reaching a free-delivery threshold does not necessarily qualify for free delivery at every postcode.

If the destination or consignment cannot be priced automatically, we will show that a delivery quotation is required instead of offering an unsuitable standard rate. We will not impose an additional delivery charge on an accepted order merely because carriage costs more than anticipated. Please see our Terms & Conditions for the order-acceptance provisions.

Remote, offshore and restricted destinations

Different charges, carrier services or delivery times may apply to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, the Scottish Islands (including Orkney and Shetland), the Isles of Scilly, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands and other remote or offshore destinations. Certain other island and rural locations may also be affected.

Eligibility is normally assessed using the delivery postcode together with the goods in the basket. Postcode boundaries and available services can vary between carriers. Please use the basket shipping estimator for the relevant delivery address rather than assuming that a standard or free-delivery offer covers the whole United Kingdom.

Our current online checkout supports the destinations for which it displays a valid delivery option. Other international destinations are considered only by prior agreement, where we can offer a suitable service and quotation; international delivery is not guaranteed.

When a delivery quotation is required

Some remote destinations or unusually large, heavy, multi-parcel or otherwise unsuitable consignments require a separate delivery quotation. The packaged size and weight of the goods and the available carrier service can affect the price, even for addresses that normally qualify for standard delivery.

If you see Delivery quotation required in the basket or checkout, use the quotation link to contact us. The enquiry form can carry over your delivery postcode, product details, SKUs and quantities so you do not have to re-enter them. Please check those details before sending.

A quotation request is not an order. No payment is taken through the quotation-only checkout route. We will explain the proposed carriage charge, delivery options and total price before asking you to agree to an order. You are free to decline the quotation.

Dispatch times and express delivery

Dispatch and delivery times depend on stock availability, payment confirmation, order timing, carrier capacity, the delivery postcode and the goods being shipped. Estimated dates are not guarantees unless we have expressly agreed a guaranteed or essential date with you.

Next-working-day, 24-hour, timed and other express services are offered only where available for the products, address, order cut-off and carrier concerned. Such services may not be available to Northern Ireland, the Highlands, islands or other restricted destinations. A standard carrier service described as a two-day service does not guarantee delivery within two working days.

If you are arranging an installer, site access or another time-sensitive activity, contact us before placing your order to discuss what can realistically be arranged. Nothing in these estimates affects Consumers' legal delivery rights.

Time-critical and project orders

If delivery needs to coincide with a site visit or installation, it helps to tell us:

  1. Which products or SKUs you need, and in what quantities.
  2. The delivery postcode and the date you need the goods.
  3. Any access restrictions, unloading arrangements or site-opening hours.
  4. Whether the goods must arrive together or in a particular sequence.

We can then advise on stock and available delivery options. Do not assume an installation date is guaranteed until we have confirmed the arrangements.

Receiving your order

When your delivery arrives, please check the number of packages and their apparent condition where practical. If packaging appears damaged, make a note with the carrier where possible and photograph it before unpacking.

These details help us investigate problems; they do not remove your statutory rights.

Missing, damaged or incorrect goods

If anything is missing, damaged or different from what you ordered, contact us as soon as reasonably practical. Please include your order number, affected product or SKU, a description of the issue, and photographs where helpful.

We will investigate and explain the appropriate next step.

Missed deliveries and redelivery

Carrier procedures vary. If a delivery cannot be completed, the carrier may attempt redelivery, offer a collection option or return the goods to us.

Where delivery could not be completed because of an incorrect address or another issue outside our control, we will discuss the available arrangements and explain any additional charge before arranging redelivery.

Consumer delivery rights

Nothing on this page limits your rights under UK consumer law. For consumer orders, the statutory delivery rules apply where a different delivery period has not been agreed, and legal remedies may be available for late, lost, damaged or incorrectly supplied goods.
