Can the front door be reversed, and what is involved?

Yes. The door can be moved so that it hinges from the opposite side.

The spring-loaded hinge pins make the door itself easy to remove, but there are also small spacers or grommets at the hinge points. These need to move to the corresponding positions on the other side. They keep the door correctly spaced so it doesn’t rub against the cabinet at the top or bottom.

They’re tiny parts that look wholly unimportant until they’re left behind, at which point the reversible door can become a surprisingly effective scraping instrument.

Move them with the door and the lock will continue to operate normally whichever side the door is hinged.
