I’ve inherited an unlabelled installation. Can I work out which wall socket goes to which panel port?
Yes. A cable mapper, toner or probe is normally the quickest way to match an unknown wall outlet to its panel port.
Once you identify each run, label both ends; otherwise the same bundle of anonymous cables will patiently turn itself back into a labyrinth for the next person.
