What does U/UTP mean?
U/UTP means the cable has no overall screen and no individual foil or braid around the twisted pairs. It is an unscreened four-pair construction.
That also means there is no cable screen waiting to be bonded to earth. If the job specifically calls for screened cabling because of the electrical environment or system design, choose a screened cabling system rather than trying to turn U/UTP into one after the event.
