Can Cat5e installation cable be used with the Cat6 patch panel?

Yes, Cat5e cable can be physically terminated on the Cat6 panel, but the completed run should not then be called Cat6.

The Cat5e cable becomes the limiting component, so you have a usable mixed-category link rather than a mysteriously upgraded one.
