Can equipment status LEDs normally be seen through the glass door?
Yes, in normal circumstances. The transparent front door allows equipment displays and status LEDs to remain visible without opening the cabinet.
Exactly how easy they are to read will depend on the equipment, viewing angle and ambient lighting. A tiny recessed LED viewed across a brightly lit room is still a tiny recessed LED; the cabinet hasn’t acquired optical amplification merely because its door is glass.
For routine checks, though, switch indicators, displays and similar front-panel information can normally be viewed through the closed door.
