Can the cabinet be mounted on plasterboard or a stud wall?
Potentially, but the wall construction and fixing method must be capable of supporting the complete loaded cabinet safely.
The cabinet's 60kg equipment payload rating does not imply that a plasterboard surface, stud wall or any particular fixing can support that load. The mass of the cabinet itself must also be included.
Where suitable structural timber, framing or other load-bearing material is available, an appropriate installation may be possible. The correct method depends on the construction of the wall rather than its visible surface alone.
If there is any uncertainty, the wall and proposed fixing method should be assessed by a competent installer.
